Silas Adams Found Dead in his home
Funeral services will be held at 9 am Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic church of Kent, for Silas Adams, 62, 860 Stow St., Kent, who was found dead in his home, evidently stricken by a heart attack while sitting in his chair. Father C.K. Bartlett of St. Patrick's will officiate at the burial Monday. The body has been taken to Bissler's funeral parlors where friends and family may visit at any time. Neighbors of the aged Adams became worried yesterday when he failed to make his usual appearance during the forenoon and afternoon. Finally, they called the police who found him dead in his chair at about 4 pm. Friday. Surviving Adams are two sons: Edward of Akron, Raymond of Cleveland, and a daughter, Mrs. Clement Edgel of West Virginia. Adams also leaves three brothers: August of Kent, Raymond of Massillon and Harry of Cuyahoga Falls. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Chas. Hurm, St. Marys Ohio., and also seven grand children and 3 great grandchildren.
Silas Peter Adams. Son of Peter and Anna M. (Zerbe) Adams. There is no headstone. He is buried next to his brother Raymond J. Adams. He was married to 1)Martha (Mattie) Purine. He and Martha had 2 children Raymond and Elise. He was married to 2)Sadie J. Cline on March 17 1906. Silas and Sadie had one Son, James Edward born on May 7, 1907.
