He was retired from A.C.F. Industries of 31 years.
He is survived by
his loving wife of 50 years Iona Jo Hardy Adkins;
six children Philip and wife Betty Adkins of Proctorville, Donnie "Bear" and wife Tammy Adkins of Chesapeake, Teresa and husband Paul Ferris of Proctorville, David, Patty, and Rebecca Adkins all of Chesapeake;
11 grandchildren;
10 great grandchildren;
a special brother Ronald Adkins;
four sisters Hazel Clark, Jean Callicoat, Ann Hardesty, and Diane Donahoe;
a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service was conducted at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Brian Phillips and Pastor Brian Root. Burial was in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio.
