Francis Anderson

Francis O. "Daf" Anderson, 80, of Middleport, died Monday, Sept. 28, 1992, following an extended illness.

Born Dec. 21, 1911 in Middleport, he was the son of the late George W. and Lucille Mitchell Anderson.

He was retired from Foote Mineral where he was maintenance clerk for 24 years. He also worked several years at the Imperial Electric Co. in Middleport.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Middleport, and a former member of the Middleport Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha E. Heines Anderson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Cheryl Anderson of Lake Forest, Calif., and Tom and Marilyn Anderson of Middleport; a daughter, Carole A. Painter of Columbus; a sister, Irene Davis of Middleport; two granddaughters and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, George L. Anderson and William H. Anderson, and a son-in-law, Ralph Painter.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Fisher Funeral Home in Middleport. The Rev. Frank Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Middleport Fire Department, Race St., Middleport.
