Rosella M. "Dolly" Kittel Abitz, 73, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, angels came to get her at the Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Wausau. She was born July 11, 1932, in Wausau, the daughter of the late Mamie and Edward Kittel. Rosella married Christian Abitz on Sept. 28, 1978, in Wausau at St. Paul's United Church of Christ He preceded her in death in 1992. Dolly enjoyed fishing, bingo, puzzles, playing cards and was a great Brewers and Packers fan. Survivors include a sister, Jeanette (Eugene) Lambrecht of Wausau; sister-in-law, Marie Kittel of Wausau; and many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews; stepson, Lawrence (Lilian) Drake of Mosinee; and two stepdaughters, Gladys (Lawrence) Heahlke of Wausau, and Vergie Crottewe of Wisconsin Rapids. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter; and sister, Mildred Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Donald E. Baumann will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Brainard Funeral Home in Wausau is assisting the family with arrangements.
