Benjamin Addis, who spent most of his 84 years in old Newburgh, will be buried in Hudson Cemetery after services at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Jones funeral home, 9500 Miles Ave., S.E.
He died late Monday in the home of his son, Charles B. Addis, on Meadowlawn Roads [sic], Moreland Hills. For more than a quarter century before he retired in 1940, Mr. Addis was a member of the maintenance staff of the Post Office here.
Surviving him are his wife, Alice; four sons, George B., Frank E., Charles B., and Jack L. Addis; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Gottschalk, Mrs. Ethel Lukwinski and Mrs. Pearl Hutchinson; 17 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
