Mrs. Olive Brown One of 2 Crash Victims

(Special to The Lima News)

KENTON, June 25 - Mrs. Olive Brown, 27, a former Hardin-co resident, and Mrs. Leona Sontag, 51, both of Marion, died in Marion hospital Tuesday afternoon from burns received in an automobile-truck crash east of Marion earlier Tuesday.

Mrs. Brown was driving the car which crashed into a tractor-trailer assembly operated by Harold Stevens as he slowed down on State Route 98, authorities reported. Both women were sprayed with gasoline which caught fire.

Mrs. Brown was born in Circleville Aug. 27, 1919 to Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Gunnett. She married Rolland Brown here June 20, 1946, and they moved to Marion five months ago.

Surviving besides the husband is a son by a former marriage, James Nichols, Delaware; her father in Dunkirk, and one sister, Mrs. Dale Musselman, Dunkirk.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the Schindewolf funeral home here with burial in the Lee cemetery.
