KITTS HILL — Charles Albert "Chuck" Holton, 73, of Kitts Hill, died Saturday, June 13, 2009, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
Mr. Holton was born May 14, 1936, in Ottawa, W.Va., to the late John and Sally Ann Combs Holton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Holton and Miles Owens; two sisters, Ruth Holton and Johnnie Mae Holton; and a step-sister, Irene V. Smith.
On Dec. 25, 1977, he married Jacqueline Starr Holton of Kitts Hill, who survives. Mr. Holton retired in 2001 from Landstar Inway, was a life member of VFW Post 1275, and a member of Loyal Order of Moose.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David and Mike; one step-daughter, Dawn (Mark) Sexton of Catlettsburg, Ky.; two granddaughters, Jamie and Hannah; three grandsons; a step-grandson, Kyle; two great grandsons; two brothers, James and William Holton; and his mother-in-law, Doris Starr.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Wayne Wise officiating. Burial will follow in Leatherwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 - 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
