Born Dec. 2, 1922, in Campbell, where he lived most of his life. He was a 1941 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and served in the U.S. Air Force in WWII from 1942-1946 in Japan, Bismarck, China, New Guinea and Luzon where he was Air Combat and decorated with Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, 9 Bronze Stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal WWII. He owned A-1 Autoworks and worked for Gough Motors and Donnel Ford.
He was a member of Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church and American Legion, Campbell.
Preceded in death by his parents, Michael George and Evdokia Milatos Alesafis; brother, George M. (Pelagia Mbillis) Alesafis; twin sisters, Mary (Miltiadis) Halkias and Irene (Basilios) Gaitanis; nephew, Antonios Antonas.
Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Louise; nieces and nephews, Evelyn Antonas, Michael (Kathy) Alesafis, Kalotina (Gusty) Klimis, Angeline Owens, Louis (Helen) Halkias, Katina (Dodge) Galanos, Christine Gaetano, Michael and Angelo Gaitanis; many grand and great-grandnieces and nephews who loved and cherished him as their own father. Services were held in Ohio.
