Eugene C. (Bud) Ashenfelter 81, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at Kettering Medical Center. He was born June 13, 1919, in Donnelsville, Ohio, to the late Ray and Grace (Wilbert) Ashenfelter. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; and a brother, John. Survivors include one sister, Zoe Moore; one brother, Harold (Hap) Ashenfelter, special friend, Jean Probst; numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. He was a graduate of Olive Branch High School, a veteran of World War II with the Army Air Force, a member of the Donnelsville Lutheran Church, and was a longtime employee of the Champion Spark Plug Company, where he was manager of Field Services. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2000 at the Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Road with Pastor Peter Kruse officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
