Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Mingus Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Haggard officiating. Interment: Hannibal Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn.
Ann was born Aug. 1, 1911, in Huckaby to Wesley and May Messiner Thornton. She married Earl Blue Sr. in 1934 and they had five children. Ann was a resident of Mingus on and off for 60 years. She was affectionately known as "Grannie" by everyone who knew her.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Blue Sr.; daughter, Patsy Williams; grandsons, Ty Larry Blue and Billy Jack Slaughter; and great-granddaughter, Ronda Lee Stephens.
Survivors: Sons, Larry Blue of Odessa and Earl Blue Jr. of Abilene; daughters, Betty Rogers of Mingus and Shara Rainwater of Montgomery; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
