HARRIETT P. ANDERSON

Harriett P. Anderson, 80, a resident of the Beaverton community, died Wednesday afternoon, March 1, 2006 at her home.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the Union Point Cemetery, 500 Banks Road in Banks. Interment will follow at the cemetery.
HARRIETT PAULINE ANDERSON was born October 18, 1925 in Vernonia, Oregon, the daughter of Louis L. and Amelia (Tarrach) Huntley. She was the oldest of their six children. They were descendants of the Applegate pioneer family who traveled the perilous Oregon Trail in covered wagons. She was raised and received her education in the Vernonia.
She was united in marriage to John "Jack" Anderson in 1950. Following their marriage they made their home in Cedar Mill where they owned and operated Cedar Mill Lumber and Hardware, a family owned business. Harriett was preceded in death by her husband, ‘Jack" in 1997, after celebrating over 47 years of marriage.
Harriett loved antiques and had operated several antique stores and devoted 45 years to her estate sale business, "Attic to Cellar"
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Omelia Huntley
Harriett is survived by two daughters, Cleo Lee, of Siletz, Oregon; and Kim Moe, of Beaverton, Oregon;
her brother and his wife, Bob and Karen Huntley, of Gaston, Oregon; and her sisters and their husbands, Betty and George Schlesser, of Hillsboro, Oregon; and Dorothy and Jerry McCool, of Madras, Oregon.
Also surviving are her four grandchildren, Casey Bernard, of Portland, Oregon; Michelle Lee, of Newport, Oregon; Cody Bernard and his wife, Emily, of Beaverton, Oregon; and Kile Bernard and his wife, Trisha, of Vancouver, Washington; and eight great-grandchildren who all affectionately called her "Maka".
The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to the Providence St. Vincent Hospice, 3601 S.W. Murray Road, Suite 40, Beaverton, Oregon 97005, in her memory.
Forest Grove Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
