SPRINGFIELD - Martha M. Abraham of Springfield died March 25 of cancer. She was 92.

Abraham was born May 5, 1909, in Verdon, Neb., to Homer and Martha Hoffman Watkins. She graduated from high school in Verdon and married John Abraham in Verdon on Nov. 20, 1945.

She was a homemaker, wife and mother who enjoyed sewing, needlework, cooking, baking, quilting and canning.

She was a 4-H volunteer and taught Sunday school at Elkton Christian Church from 1949 to this year. She also did missionary work and served on the budget committee at Elkton Grade School.

She lived in Klamath Falls for four years before moving to Elkton, where she lived for 43 years. She moved to Springfield 10 years ago.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Judy Flynn of Lincoln City; a son, David of Grants Pass; a sister, Grace Watkins of Falls City, Neb.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A private service is planned. Burial will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of McKenzie-Willamette Hospital.
