Larry W. Akers 74 passed away on July 29, 2015 at his home with family present.

Larry was born to Wayne & Maxine Akers on December 31, 1940.
He graduated from Vernonia High School May 20, 1960.
He served in the US Navy and had an Honorable Discharge May 30, 1964.

He married Lillie F. Palmer in 1964 and later divorced in 1972.

He is survived by his daughter Tanya Klahn of Sandy Oregon, husband Paul Klahn, grandsons Cody Caba and Kyle Klahn and granddaughter Kaitlyn Klahn.
Larry is also survived by; son Larry W. Akers of Westford, Massachusetts who also served in the US Navy, wife Judy Akers and grandsons Nicholas and Michael Akers, son Chief Warrant Officer Richard Arthur Akers of Key Point, Washington who is currently serving in the US Navy, sisters; Sharon Johnson, Rose Burch, and Dorma Akers, and brother Norman Akers.

Preceded in death by father Wayne Akers, mother Maxine Akers, sister Irene Bowery, and brother David Akers.

Funeral Services to be held Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM at
Columbia Funeral Home St Helens, Oregon.

Graveside Services with Military Honors to follow at
Columbia Memorial Gardens Scappoose, Oregon.
