A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 1995, in Hillside Chapel for Velma Louise Anderson, who died Nov. 23 of cancer at age 83.
She was born July 2, 1912, in Carthage, Mo. Her maiden name was Logsdon.
She lived in Portland since 1989. She previously lived in Davenport, N.D., for 40 years.
She was a hospital housekeeper. During World War II she worked in the Portland shipyards.
She married Henry Cogburn in 1934; he died in 1944. She married Ole M. Anderson in 1949; he died in 1991.
Surviving are her sons, Ronald Cogburn of Canby, Martin Anderson of Detroit Lakes, Mich., and Verden Anderson of Davenport, N.D.; daughters, Betty King of California City, Calif., Alta Benway of Long Beach, Calif., and Harriet Wentz of Camas, Wash.; brother, Tom Logsdon of Pico Rivera, Calif.; sisters, Josie McKinney of Mulino and Erma Kramer of Oregon City; 21 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Carus Cemetery in Oregon City.
The family suggests remembrances to Willamette Falls Hospice.
