Dorothy Pauline Worrell Christensen, age 90 died peacefully October 25, 2015 at her home in Richland, Washington. She was born January 7, 1925 to Ralph and Ella Belle York Worrell in Murtaugh, Idaho at her grandparent’s home. She was raised in Aberdeen, Idaho. She married Jerry Keith Christensen Sr., April 19, 1943 in Tusla, Oklahoma, during World War ll and later their marriage was reaffirmed in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints.

Dororthy and Jerry had been schoolmates and friends all through their school years. Together they had 10 children, all of whom are living. She enjoyed learning, traveling, reading, sewing, crafts, baking, but mostly her family. She is survived by her daughter’s Claire Christensen, Judi Robinson (Jim), Jill Ames (Martin), Ruth Martin (Dave) and sons Keith (Pat), David (Barb), Ralph (Linda), Jim (Vickie), Dan (Chrystal) and Van; many great grandchildren, and arms full of great grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sweetheart, and companion, as well as a daughter, a sister, an aunt and a friend.

Mom and Dad were faithful members of the Church of Jesus Chris Latter-day Saints, and loved the opportunity to serve others. Mom and dad served a mission in Brookings, Oregon and they served in Mesa, Arizona and Richland, Washington Temples.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on the 1300 block of Jadwin Avenue, Richland, Washington. A viewing for friends and family will be held from 9:00-9:40 a.m.; the funeral will follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Sumpter Historic Cemetery in Sumpter, Oregon; next to her husband and best friend
