Margie Dell (Brandon) Alexander died at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Thursday, October 17, 2013. Margie was 82 years old.
Graveside services Friday, October 25, in Goodlett Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Holland, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Quanah, officiating.
Margie was born in Goodlett, Texas on February 6, 1931 to Ernest James Brandon and Willie Ola (Barbee) Brandon. She attended grade school in Goodlett and then graduated from Quanah High School.
Margie and George Edward Alexander were married in Quanah, Texas during his U.S. Navy furlough. Margie was first employed at The Quanah Telephone Company. After moving to Colorado Springs where her husband was employed by The Unites States Air Force Academy, she worked for many years at the Bell Telephone Company as a liaison to the United States Air Force.
Margie is survived by two sons and two daughters in-law: Bobby Wayne Alexander and Debbie Alexander of Denver, CO, and James Edward Alexander and Carla Alexander of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Margie had five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her sister, Robbie Jean (Brandon) Golston of New Holland, Pa., and a brother, Jerry Don Brandon of Quanah, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, La Juana Joyce (Brandon) Hilliard, and a half brother, W.I. Craven Jr.
