Dorice Marie Alexander, 65, of Llano and formerly of Gainesville, passed away Saturday July 30 in Burnet. Dorice was born July 29, 1946 to Q.T. El Juanda Carpenter and Albert V. Dunlap in Lampasas. She married Ronnie Doss in Oakalla in 1966, and later married Terry Alexander in Lampasas in 1984. They preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and four grandchildren.
She was a Baptist and a member of the VFW ladies' auxiliary.
Survivors include sons, David Doss of Kansas City, Mo., and Jacky Doss and wife, LaCretia of Mason; daughters, Teresa Harden of Llano and Catherine Parker of Llano; brothers, James Dunlap of Texarkana, Jerry Dunlap of Zephyr, Steven Dunlap of Ennis, Joe Dunlap of Metamora, Mich.; grandchildren, Stephanie, Annalyssa, Shaye, Casey, Tara, Meagan, Paigelyn, Shawn, Joshua, Ryan, Taylor, Daniel, McKayla, Brennon, Brooklyn, Brandon and Kelsey; great grandchildren, Reagan, Scott, and Avaiyah, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011 at Waldrope Hatfield Hawthorne Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Stan Troy officiating.
Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Gillum Cemetery in Burnet County.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Dunlap, Steven Dunlap, Steve Mansell, Vernon Parker, Tim Harden and Joey Shults.
Funeral arrangements made under the direction of Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Homes, Inc. in Llano.
