Esther Andazola, 81, a resident of Silver City, passed away Saturday at Gila Regional Medical Center. She was a communicant of St. Anthony s Church in Fierro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miguel Andazola, in 1961. She is survived by a son, Antonio L. Andazola and his wife, Mary Lou, of Bayard; four daughters, Mercedes A. Tovar and her husband, Tomas of Central, Lugarda A. Martinez and her husband, Alfredo, of Central, Ernestina A. Apodaca and her husband, Jesus, of Grants, and Dolores Griego and her husband, Clyde, of Albuquerque; a brother-in-law, Frank Andazola of San Jose, Calif.; three brothers, Robert Loera of Silver City, Phillip Loera of Colton, Calif., and Jesus Loera of Hanover; and three sisters, Angelita Ayala of Las Cruces, Margarita Duran of Colton and Michela Trujillo of San Fernando, Calif. Visitation was held today from 2-4 p.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be recited tonight at 7 o clock at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Bayard with Deacon Alfonso Alvarado as celebrant. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony s in Fierro with the Rev. Ricardo Hinojal as celebrant. Interment will follow at Fierro Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Andazola, Steve Martinez, Jesus Apodaca, Bobby Andazola, Ruben Andazola and Tony Tovar. Honorary pallbearers will be all her grandchildren. Arrangements are by the Wheeler Funeral Home.
