Toby Fermin Marquez, 53, of Bloomfield passed from this life on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. Toby was born Nov. 3, 1953, in Farmington, to Jose Fermin and Mary Ann (Samore) Marquez.

Toby was a lifetime resident of San Juan County and a tool pusher with Bear Cat Drilling. He was an avid Harley-Davidson rider, a fisherman and a stock car fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Fermin Marquez; brother, Ernest "Neto" Marquez; and sister, Dolores Espinoza.

Toby is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Archuleta; stepfather, Paul N. Archuleta; siblings, Annie Ibarra and husband, Robert, of Ontario, Canada, Bobby Marquez and wife, Linda, of Bloomfield, Mary Lou Lopez and husband, Jesus, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Sally Marquez and Tom Wyatt of Crouch Mesa, Gloria Trujillo of Farmington, Linda Miller and husband, Frank, of Aztec, Tino Marquez of Bloomfield, and Marvin and Mickey Marquez of Farmington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 9, at Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington, with rosary following at 7 p.m.

At 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, rosary will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 307 N. Church St. in Bloomfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, at St. Mary's in Bloomfield. Celebrant will be Father James Walker. Toby will then be laid to rest at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Blanco.

Pallbearers are Tino Marquez, David Browning, Toby Lee Browning, Robert Espinoza Jr., David Sandoval and Richard Marquez.

Honorary pallbearers are Corwin West, Larry Martinez, Buddy Davis, Bowen Vallejos, Freddie Anaya, Tommy Trujillo and Lawrence Lopez.

**Bikers - there will be a motorcycle procession from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomfield to Blanco Cemetery following the funeral Mass. **

Toby is in the care of Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington St. in Farmington, (505) 327-5142.
