She was born in Mexia, Texas, on Jan. 28, 1913. Her family later moved to Groesbeck. She met and married Lawrence Franklin Adamick of Willis and they were married 62 years before he passed away in May 1994. They resided on Morans Ranch where they worked and raised their family. As family was always so important to her, she strived to maintain the harmony of the family and was so much a part of all of the reunions and celebrations. Living in Willis for over 50 years, she was known by everyone. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Willis. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Zeke and Viola Moody; three sisters, Lula Mae Becker of Bryan, Leona Clark of Mineral Wells and Lucille Hyman of New Waverly; a daughter, Ollie Mae Shaw of Deer Park; and three grandsons, Kevin, Keith and Brandon Canion of Smiley. Surviving family members include her daughters, Jean Kleimann and Pat Powell both of Willis, Maxine Canion of Smiley; sons, Jim Adamick of Willis and Wayne Adamick of Spring; sisters, Marie Duclos of Houston, and Hazel Ruthstrom of Spring Branch; and a brother, Roland Dossey of Tyler. She was the loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 17. She is survived by several beloved nieces and nephews. Known as Mother, Bea, Aunt Bea, Ma and Sister Adamick, she will be greatly missed by all. You may leave a written tribute to the family on our website at
