GLASCO — Gertrude I. Adkins, 83, Glasco, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006. Mrs. Adkins was born Gertrude I. Campbell on Dec. 15, 1922, near Delphos. She was a clerk for Adkins IGA in Glasco.
Her husband, Gerald "Jerry," died in 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff of Joplin, Mo., and Nick of Clifton; a brother, Paul Campbell of California; five sisters, Marjorie Martin of Glasco, Maxine Harding and Virginia Yount, both of Oklahoma, Betty Swaim of Salina and Maudyna White of Washington state; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Glasco. Burial will be in Glasco Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church, Solomon Valley Hospice or Glasco VFW Auxiliary Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Dean Funeral home, 301 E. Main, Glasco 67445.
