Mrs. Carolyn Abercrombie Farris, age 85 of Morrow, died at Christian City Nursing Home on February 4, 2015. She was born in Metcalf, GA on July 3, 1929 to the late Josephus Zeigler and Anna Leigh Ivey Zeigler. She was a long-time librarian for Forest Park Public Library. In addition to being a homemaker, a big part of her life was helping at Abercrombie Patterson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Farris was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Sharon Sidney Abercrombie; four sisters and one brother in South Georgia. Surviving are her husband, Robert Earl Farris; daughter Sherry Ivester (Gary) of Newnan; grandchildren, Laurie Brown, Tommy Dunn, Jr., and Christy Ponder; 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Senoia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, 1:00 p.m. until service time.
