Rowell Anderson, 85 of Brunswick, passed away Monday evening (April 13, 2015) at Southeast Georgia Health System under the care of Hospice of the Golden Isles.

Born in Hortense, GA., her parents were Hardie Rowell and Ernie Lee Roberson Rowell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Anderson; two brothers, J.L Rowell, and Jerry Rowell; two sisters-in-law, Allie Mae Brauda, and Nora Carver; and a brother-in-law, Estues Anderson.

Betty was a homemaker, and a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church, in Brunswick. She loved camping, reading, bird watching, and cooking.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Hardie Anderson, of Jacksonville, FL.; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise Lee Causey (Bob), of Brunswick; one granddaughter, Jennifer Lee Key (Scott), of Griffin, GA; three great grandchildren, Lillee Grace, Baxter, and Ben Key, all of Griffin, GA.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James Rowell, of Lakeland, FL., Donald Rowell (Helen), of Blackshear, and Bobby Rowell (Judy), of Brunswick, GA; three sisters, Lois Joyce, of Brunswick, Jean Royster (Carswell), of Hortense, and Peggy Johns (Kenny), of Hickox; one brother-in-law, Homer Anderson (Margaret), of Hortense; and one sister-in-law, Betty Anderson, of Hortense. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday (April 16, 2015) at 11AM at Pine Ridge Baptist Church, in Brunswick, with Rev. Michael Gibbs, and Rev. Ken Creekmore officiating. Visitation will be held at the church, one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be held Thursday (April 16, 2015) at 2PM at Satilla Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be the "Doers of the Word" and "Dorcas" Sunday School classes.

Memorials may be made to Pine Ridge Building Fund, 15 Nimitz Dr. Brunswick, GA. 31520; or Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA. 31525.
Family and pallbearers are asked to meet at the church by 10:30AM.
