William Blankenship, one of the oldest citizens of Macon county, died at his home in this county Tuesday, July 21, 1891, aged 78 years and 2 months.Deceased was born in Kentucky, May 22, 1813 and moved to Missouri in 1841, where he has resided ever since. He leaves an aged wife, two sons, and a daughter and many friends to mourn his loss. He united with the Christian church in 1843 and lived a faithful and consistent member to the time of his death. He was a good man and highly respected by all. Rev. W. W. Boatman conducted the funeral services, after which his remains were laid to rest in
Antioch cemetery. The family desires to thank all friends for their kindness shown during his illness.
