Funeral services for Mr. Oscar Daniels, Jr. of Plains, Georgia will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Zion Hope Baptist Church with Rev. George Frank Monts officiating. Burial will follow at the Poplar Spring Cemetery in Preston, Georgia



Mr. Oscar Daniels, Jr.was born on March 12, 1948 in Webster County, Georgia to the late Oscar Daniels, Sr. and the late Rosie Brown. At an early age he joined the St. Luke Baptist Church He was educated in the public schools of Webster County. "Cat Blue" as he was affectionately called will always be remembered for his warm smile and friendly personality. Mr. Daniels died peacefully on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Lillian Carter Nursing Home in Plains, Georgia.



He leaves to cherish his memory, three devoted daughters: Dina Odoms, Latoya and Jalisa of Delray Beach, Florida; three devoted sons: Joe Anquan Bowens of Americus, Georgia, Johnny and Jermaine Jackson of Delray, Florida; seven nieces and nephews: Patricia (Raymond) Tookes, Kelvin (Jessica) Sims, Irvin Daniels, Christopher (Vertrescia) Sims, George (Angela) Sims, Diane (Thomas) Ross and Leanne Sims; A special niece, Ira Lee Walker; one brother-in-law, George Sims, Sr. of Americus, Georgia; one sister-in-law Annie Ola Ross of Plains, Georgia; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; Three devoted friends: Robert Lewis, Robert Hardy and Janice Foster; several other relatives and friends also survive.
