Berthelsen rites set at Forest Glade
Graveside services for Thomas Berthelsen, 90, of Houston, will be held Tuesday at 1 in Forest Glade Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under direction of Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
A retired real estate agent, Mr. Berthelsen died Friday afternoon in a Houston hospital. He was born in Hancock, Iowa, on Dec. 29, 1887 and formerly of Dallas. Mr. Berthelsen formerly owned the Southern Floor Company in Houston and also the Rose Lawn Florist in Dallas. His religious affiliation was Quaker.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Rhea, Mrs. A.J. (May) McKinney and Miss Bettie Berthelsen; all of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Magdalene McKinney of Mexia, Mrs. Julia Sowell and Mrs. Anna Lupin, both of Houston; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
