Mr. Johnny Bellamy, age 63, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at Ogeechee Area Hospice after a long illness. He was a native of Bulloch County and a member of Bible Time Church in Statesboro. He was a retired logger.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Bellamy of Claxton; five daughters, Patricia (Charlie) Cannady, Pembroke, Teresa Bellamy and Lisa Bellamy, both of Statesboro, Peggy and Charlotte Bellamy, both of Claxton; one son, Reginald (Rosetta) Bellamy of Claxton; three sisters, Betty (James) Roberts, Nevils, Easter Mae (Clifford) Mobley, Statesboro, and Willie Mae (Ernest) Williams, Nevils; three brothers, Archie (Thelma) Byrd and James Perkins, both of Statesboro, and Roosevelt (Linda) Bellamy of Pembroke; a loving mother-in-law, Mrs. Bertha Porter of Pembroke; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Mr. Bellamy will be held Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Macmillan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. James R. Barnes Mortuary, Inc., is in charge of the arrangements.
