Mrs. Ethel Lee Brown, age 71, died on Tuesday evening, June 21, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She was a Bulloch County native and a homemaker. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where she served on the Deaconess Board and sung in the church choir. She was a member of the New Star Light Chapter Order of the Eastern Stars #44. She enjoyed her family and doing her hobbies, fishing and baking cakes.
She is survived by her husband of 57 faithful years, Clarence Brown of Statesboro; two daughters, Betty Givens of Statesboro and Linda (John) Henderson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sons, Carlos (Pearl) Brown and the Rev. Willie (Dorothy) Brown, all of Statesboro; four sisters, Katie Drummer and Maggie Coleman, both of Statesboro, Dorothy Randall and Rita (Jay) White Wiggins, both of Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, Eddie (Evelyn) Roe White of Statesboro, Raleigh (Frances) White of Houston, Texas, and Robert White of Philadelphia, Pa.; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Cashious Reddick officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. Craig R. Tremble & Sons Funeral Home
