MACON - Rev. Andrew Paul Addleton, 89, entered his eternal home on Monday, August 3, 2009. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Hubert Addleton will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. -Rev. Addleton, son of the late Benjamin Lark and Bessie Gordon Addleton, was a lifelong resident of Macon and was educated at Mercer University, earning his B.A. degree in 1954. He served with the U. S. Army Air Force during World War II and was listed on a Certificate of Appreciation as "entered into the World War II Memorial Registry of Remembrances for participating in World War II and helping our nation win the greatest military victory in history." -Rev. Addleton was in personnel management retiring from Robins Air Force Base in 1982 and for fifty-two years was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. He was a member of Victory Christian Center of the Assemblies of God. Rev. Addleton was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Andria Lynn McCary, five brothers, John, Otha, James, Leon and Robert Addleton, three sisters, Annie Ruth Cranford, Velma Whitehead and Gloria Haskins . -Survivors include his wife of sixty-seven years, Mary Davis Addleton of Macon; his daughter, Paulette (Kenneth) Stuckey of Byron; three granddaughters, Dawn (Richard) Slife of Warner Robins, Michelle (Robby) Taylor and Terri (Joe T.) McCary, all of Byron; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Hubert Addleton and Bob L. Addleton, both of Macon; three sisters, Louise Duffey and Helen Tucker, both of Macon and Hilda Mixon of Milledgeville and numerous nieces and nephews. -Visit to express tributes. -Snow's Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Services, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.
