James Abbott Allen, age 74, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Tompkins and Henry McMicheal officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Allen was son of the late James Kenny and Kathleen Tarpley Allen and a lifelong resident of Wilkinson County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Eloise Bray Allen, brothers, David, Bobby and Wayne Allen, and grandson, Chris Taylor. Mr. Allen was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II, and retired from Armstrong World Industries. He was a Deacon and member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
