Mr. Adamson died on Thursday, May 29, after a short illness.
He was born to the late Mr. Raymond Sr. and Ida Adamson on April 16, 1936 in Roanoke, Ala.
He is survived by his wife, Ms. Mary Shennett Adamson; one stepdaughter, Ms.Hazel Shennett; two stepsons, James Shennett and Lonnie Shennett; two brothers, Thomas Adamson and Raymond Adamson of Roanoke; two sisters, Ms. Naomi Bell of
Newport News, Va., and Ms. Janie Adamson of Columbia, S.C.; one uncle; one aunt; eight step-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and other living relatives and friends.
Gus Thornhill's Funeral Home, East Point, was in charge of arrangements.
