|Death: ||Sep. 15, 1859|
New Jersey, USA
William was born to George Albright and Charlotte Rogers in 1858. He was their third child and first son. Sadly, he died days before his first birthday of what is listed in the record as "marasmus", which is a form of malnutrition characterized by energy deficiency.
His death date and burial in American Mechanics Cemetery are documented in the Philadelphia Death Certificate Index. William was originally buried in Div, Sec 30, Lot 24 and re-interred in 1884 in the Jacob Albright plot in Div F, Sec 2, Lot 24. The Albright family burial locations in this cemetery can still been seen in the original books.
In 1951, the cemetery was purchased by the Philadelphia Housing Authority for the purpose of removing the remains and building subdivisions on the location. The remains in this cemetery were removed in 1951, and the Raymond Rosen Housing Project was built.
In August of 1951, William Albright was re-interred in the Philadelphia Memorial Park in Division F, Section 2, Lot 24 with his grandparents family. The site is marked with a surface marker reading "ALBRIGHT".
