C.L. BEVENOUR EXPIRES TODAY
Clyde Linus Bevenour, 44-year-old father of six, 14 West High St., New Oxford, died at his home there this morning at 3 o'clock after having been in ill health for four years. He was a former shoe factory employee.
Dr. C.G. Christ, Adams County coroner, was called and said death was due to pulmonary tuberculosis. Mr. Bevenour died suddenly after suffering a hemorrhage.
He was a native of New Oxford and a son of Linus J. and Genevieve Yingling Bevenour, New Oxford. He was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church at New Oxford and the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the New Oxford Social and Athletic Club and of the New Oxford Fire Company. For a number of years he had played as a member of the New Oxford baseball team.
Surviving are his wife, Miriam T. Lingg Bevenour; these children; Mrs. Francis E. Hagerman, McSherrystown, Kenneth C., Fred E., Myrna L., Susanna M., and Merie F. Bevenour, all at home. There are two grandchildren and seven brothers and sisters; Robert Bevenour, Littlestown; Richard S., Hanover; Mrs. William H. Shrader, New Oxford; William F., New Oxford; Mrs. Conway J. Dettinburn, New Oxford; Mrs. Russell H. Shriver, New Oxford and Burnell P., McSherrystown.
Funeral services Monday morning from the Fred F. Feiser Funeral Home in New Oxford at 8:30 o'clock with a Requiem Mass at the church at 9 o'clock with the Rev. Fr. Philip J. Gergen, pastor, officiating, Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
