DIMMITT - Sandra Bagwell, 73, died Monday, April 27, 2009, in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Clint Young officiating. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
Sandra was born July 23, 1935, in Enid, Okla. Her mother passed away when she was 10 years old, and she was adopted by Delmond and Clara Neumayer. She married Milton Bagwell on Aug. 20, 1954. She retired from Dimmitt Independent School District. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, where she helped in the nursery, choir and with Helping Hands. She also was a member of the hospital auxiliary and Castro County Home Demonstration Club. She enjoyed cooking, reading and sewing but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and two brothers, Larry Reed and Stanley Lucky.
Survivors include her husband, Milton Bagwell; five sons; Steve Bagwell and wife Anita, Randy Bagwell, Rick Bagwell, Scott Bagwell and wife Carolyn and Kyle Bagwell and wife Sandy; a daughter, Carol Horner and husband Jerry; three brothers, Lowell Neumayer, Phil Tucker and Steve Lucky; a sister, Nancy Coyte and husband Don; a sister-in-law, Nelda Fallwell; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren
