Fannie Sue Walker Adcock, who died Oct. 5, 2010, at Pleasant Valley Living Center in Little Rock, was born Oct. 31, 1913, in Russellville to Malbern and Annie Patterson Walker.
Mrs. Adcock's Williamson and Walker family were founding members of Russellville's Cumberland Presbyterian and Central Presbyterian churches. She was married to A.E. "Buddy" Adcock for 56 years. Until her retirement, Mrs. Adcock was an optician for Dr. James L. Smith. As a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for 40 years, she participated in the Tele-Bible Class, the cermanic program, the WMU and the XYZ social group. Mrs. Addock lived at Good Shepherd Ecumenical Retirement Center for 12 years where she enjoyed reading, lunch with friends, weekly bingo, the wellness center and afternoon table games.
Mrs. Adock was preceded in death by her husband; son Charles M. Adcock; sisters, Lucille Hoffman, Lena Marie Morton and Gladys Powell.
She is survived by a son, Dan Walker Adcock (Helen) of Bryant; a daughter, Sue Frueauff of Little Rock; and a daughter-in-law, Dale Allen Adcock of Little Rock. Grandchldren are Charles Allen Adcock, David Arthur Frueauff and Anna Katherine Williams, all of Little Rock, Michelle Place of Tulsa, Kayrn Wilson of Mansfield, Texas, Carol Sue Camp of Arlington, Texas, Debra Williams of Bryant and Dana Fuggett of Benton. Mrs. Adcock has 15 great-grandchildren and four great-grand-children.
A celebration of her life was held Oct. 8 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
