OSWALD E. BIERMANN

Oswald E. Biermann, 73, of Berger died Wednesday, May 13, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Washington.
Following a funeral mass, celebrated by Father Tim Toohey in St. Paul's Catholic Church in Berger, Friday, May 15, burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Biermann served Berger as city collector and was a member of the Berger Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of St. Paul's Church and the Berger American Legion Post. He was retired from Zero Manufacturing Company.
Mr. Biermann was born at Little Berger, October 24, 1913, the son of Gustave Biermann and wife, nee Mary Humberg. He was married at Union on September 4, 1937, to Margaret Gerner, who survives at the home. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II.
In addition to Mrs. Biermann, he is survived by three children, Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Leibach and Dennis Biermann, both of Berger, and Regina Biermann of St. Louis; two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Buecker and Mrs. Lorene Grannemann, both of Hermann, and five grandchildren.
