Deceased Name: Death: Judy Ann Jenkins Anderson
Our beloved wife, beautiful mother, caring grandmother, sweet daughter, faithful sister, and devoted friend returned to her Heavenly Father on January 3, 1998 after a brief but courageous battle with cerebral vasculitis at the young age of 47.
Judy was born May 4, 1950 to Seth L. Jenkins and Elaine Woolf Jenkins. She was raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho and graduated from Idaho Falls High School and Ricks College. She married her sweetheart, Franklin Don Anderson in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on April 2, 1970. Together they have raised four wonderful children. Judy has managed Wasatch Medical Supply for the past 17 years.
Her life was centered around the gospel and her Heavenly Father and was portrayed in everything she did. She emanated compassionate selfless service to everyone and anyone that was in her life. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, ward members and everyone she knew.
Judy's sweet spirit touched every soul she came in contact with. She was an active member of the LDS Church and held many positions. She was a wonderful teacher and especially loved teaching Primary children. Her greatest treasure was her husband, children and grandchildren. She always looked forward to having family and friends visit and be close to her.
Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Elaine Jenkins who had multiple sclerosis. Judy helped care for her ailing mother from the age of 13 until she was married.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin Don Anderson of West Valley City; daughter, Heather Maree (Damon) Mendenhall, grandchildren Nathan, Karen, Thomas, Sean and one on the way; daughter, Sherri Elaine Anderson; son, Franklin Tyler Anderson; daughter, Sarah Rebecca (Becky) Anderson, all of West Valley City; father, Seth L. Jenkins (NaDene) serving an LDS mission in the Washington D.C. North Mission; brother, Seth Bradley Jenkins (Cathy), Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Thomas L. Jenkins (Janece), Idaho Fall, Idaho.
She will be missed by so many. She was the most caring, intelligent person we know. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was often laughing. She remembered everyone and would have a smile for them. She was selfless and giving and raised a beautiful family. She returns to our Heavenly Father and is rejoicing with her mother and grandmother, but will always be watching over her beloved family. We love you mom and will never forget you until we meet again!
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 7, 1998 in the Taylorsville 25th Ward Chapel, 4505 South 3420 West in West Valley City. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and at the ward on Wednesday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Ucon Idaho Cemetery at 12 noon on Thursday, January 8, 1998.
