He was born October 7, 1944 in Bonne Terre, MO to the late William Bane and Dorothy (Wolfbrandt) Bane.
Bill was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Farmington and Southeast Missouri State University. He served in the U.S. Army and worked at SEMO as computer operations supervisor for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Bane of 39 years of Cape Girardeau; step-son, Kevin (Jackie) Scott of Cape Girardeau, MO; two brothers, Richard (Janet) Fredrick of Scottsdale, AZ and Terry (Teri) Fredrick of Springfield, MO; two sisters, Susan (Brian) Taylor of Belleville, IL and Lea (Tom) McLafferty of Ballwin, MO; several loving nieces.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and stepfather, Russell Fredrick.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. David Hulshof officiating.
Burial with full military rites will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cape Girardeau, MO.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent DePaul Christian Service, Birthright, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the church.
