EASTON, Mo. Virginia Reardon, 85, Easton, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at a local health care center.

Virginia was born July 6, 1925 in Amazonia, Mo., to Elmer and Erna (Strasser) Kurz.

She graduated from Savannah High School.

Virginia married Charles "Charlie" D. Reardon July 30, 1949 at Cathedral of St. Joseph; he preceded her in death on July 27, 1999. She was a clerical worker for Wyeth Hardware from 1943 to 1947, Light and Power from 1947 to 1949, and Montgomery Wards from 1965 to 1988.

Virginia was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church and the Alter Society. She also belonged to Platte Valley Community Club and Y-Women.

Virginia was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vernon Kurz; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Gach and Genevieve Gregory; and brothers-in-law, Joe Reardon, Howard Allgaier, Thomas Gach, and John Gregory.

Survivors include daughters: Debbie Reardon and husband, Darrel Bixby, Grain Valley, Mo.; Karen Reardon, Lees Summit, Mo.; brothers: Irvin Kurz and Betty Cornelius, St. Joseph; Louis Kurz and wife, Naomi, Leawood, Kan.; brother-in-law, Wayne Reardon and wife, Mary; sister-in-law, Ruth Kneib and husband, Earl, all of Easton, Mo.; sisters-in-law: Florita Allgaier, St. Joseph; Peggy Reardon, Clarksdale, Mo.; many nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Hurlingen, Mo. Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Sunday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday evening; rosary at 6 p.m. Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hurlingen, Mo.

The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Mary's Cemetery or American Cancer Society.
