Services for Betty Adams of Wardell were held Sept. 26 at the Wardell Nazarene Church with the Rev. Rudolph Hickerson and Kenneth Hendley officiating.
Interment was in Portageville Cemetery with Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home in charge of services.
Mrs. Adams died Sept. 24, 1982 at the Pemiscot Medical Center in Hayti at the age of 93. The daughter of the late John L. and Lucinda Craft Raines, she was born May 18, 1889 in Paris, Tenn.
Mrs. Adams was married Oct. 22, 1904 in Marston to Henderson Adams, who preceded her in death. Five infants also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Sibley of Wardell and Floyd of Zion, Ill.; three daughters, Flossie Bowman and Lois Muse of Wardell and Lela Hickerson of Althermir; 57 great grandchildren; and 20 great - grandchildren.
Pallbearers were EP. Bullock, Dallas Hickerson, Lawrence Atwood, Verbal Hankins, Jimmy Moody and Jerry Moody.
