Homer Ray Anderson

August 22, 1933 - February 11, 2009

Homer Ray "Andy" Anderson, 75, Neosho, died at 1:10 p.m., Wed., Feb. 11, 2009, at Freeman West Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was born August 22, 1933, in Goodman, MO, to Austin and Mable (Tanner) Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was a veteran of the Koran war, and retired after serving 5 years with the Navy and 15 years with the Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and the Air Force Sergeant Assoc. He lived most of his life in the southwest MO area, and worked at La Z Boy in the frame shop. He was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.
Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue (Stuart) Anderson, Jan. 28, 2006.
He is survived by 5 children, Stuart Anderson, Sweard, PA, Martha Crawford and husband, Robert, Granby, Bill Anderson and wife Sarah, Joplin, David Anderson, Tipton, IA, and Kay Anderson of the home; 7 grandchildren, Deanna Weston, Justin Weston, Stephanie Crawford, Joshua Crawford, Jessie Groady, and Grace and Quinton Anderson; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Mon., Feb. 16, at Hillcrest Church of Christ with Don Deffenbaugh and Danny Boggs officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery with full military honors.
