Frances L. Baumgartner, affectionately known as "Granny B." 86, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007, in her home. She was born November 28, 1920, in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of Oscar Daniel and Bessie Mae (Mack) Rodebaugh. She was united in marriage to Rev. Albert Durwood Baumgartner on October 19, 1940, in Clinton, Iowa. Granny B was a faithful and active member of the First Baptist Church of Clever. She lived life loving the Lord, and set an example for her family and friends. Her ministry for 50 years was caring for preschool children. Granny B's greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, October 13, 1992; and her parents. She is survived by two daughters, Nadeine Gold, Clever, and Norine Moffatt and husband, Robert, Neosho; four grandchildren, Tony Moffatt, David Gold, DeaAnne Geujen and Diana Deulen; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Stella Jones, state of Illinois; other relatives; church family; and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Clever, under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Clever. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Clever. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
