George William Adams of Gerald, was born in Mokane, on Dec. 12, 1922, the son of the late Jessie Clyde Adams and Junia Reissteck Adams. He passed away April 8, 1992, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, while on vacation, at the age of 69.
He received his education at Mokane, and grew to manhood there. On July 20, 1940, he was united in marriage to Dorothy May Roach. They made their home in St. Louis until moving to Beaufort in 1969. In 1983, they moved to the Gerald community.
Mr. Adams is survived by one daughter, Pat Hiatt, and her husband, Jim, of Gerald; three sons, Bill Adams, of Chesterfield, Tom Adams and his wife, Laverne, of Beaufort, and Mike Adams and his wife, Linda, of Beaufort; one sister, Helen Zueck of Rock Springs, Wy; 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Adams; his parents; and one grandson, Richard Adams.
After resting at the Meyer Funeral Home in Gerald, funeral services were conducted Saturday, Aprill ll, at Meyer Funeral Home with internment at the Midlawn Memorial Gardens in Union, with Rev. Don Bader officiating.
