Kenwood Martin Andersen, 75, of Sterling, died Feb. 6, 2003, in Sterling. Memorial services will be held Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with Rev. Eugene Zeller officiat ing. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
Mr. Andersen was born Nov. 29, 1927 to Martin and Mary (Kirtley) Andersen in Dalton, Neb.
He served in the Army counter-intelligence corps during the Korean War.
He married Shirley Keso on Oct. 10, 1958 in Dalton.
He worked in both the retail and wholesale businesses, and was also a professional photographer for 20 years.
Mr. Andersen served as grand high priest of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Colorado and as district governor of Lions Club District 38N. He was a life member of the Elks, and a member of the American Legion and Peace Lutheran Church.
He is survived by wife Shirley,Sterling; daughters Maureen Andersen, Denver, and Teresa Andersen, Lincoln, Neb.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister.
