James Thomas Ashworth, 52, Excelsior Springs, Mo., died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
Mr. Ashworth was born May 29, 1959, in Beirut, Lebanon, the son of Murray Lee and Mary (Sale) Ashworth. He was a union carpenter for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Ashworth.
Survivors include: one son, Jacob Ashworth, Excelsior Springs; one daughter, Jessica Ashworth, Excelsior Springs; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Monday, April 2, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Graveside services will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
