Mrs. Mary E. Frye died early Wednesday morning, Oct. 22, at her home in the S. W. part of town of general debility, at the age of 80 years. Her husband, John W. Frye, died 8 years ago on the farm south of Lakenan. She came with her daughter, Miss Annie, to Shelbina to reside a short time after her husband's death. Funeral was held at the Methodist church at 11 a. m. yesterday. Interment at Greenwood.

Mary E. Frye, aged 80 years and 22 days, died of decrepit old age in Shelbina, Wednesday, October 22, at 1:20 a. m.
Mrs. Frye was the widow of the late John M. Frye of near Greenwood, Monroe county. To this union eight children were born, three of whom, Mrs. Wm. Feeley, Mrs. Lee Ransdall and William are dead. The remaining five are, Miss Annie, Mrs. Mollie Sharp of near Lakenan; Norval O., Mrs. Sallie Brandenberg, of Kansas City; and Velpoe.
Her devoted husband, after a short but acute sickness, died about eight years ago. Out of the Williams family, of which deceased was a member, only two survive her: John W. of Macon county and Theodore O. Williams, who has for many years resided at Osceola, Mo.
Mrs. Frye was a devoted wife, an affectionate mother and sister and an exemplary Christian. From the Methodist church, where funeral services were held, a large concourse of her friends and relatives followed the remains to Greenwood cemetery, where by loving and appreciative hands they were solemnly interred to await a final roll call of the redeemed. Peace to the ashes of a good woman and exemplary Christian.
