Rebecca was a daughter of James David Wilson and Jane Brewer. She married her 1st cousin Burwell Washington (Burl) Alsup, 10 Aug 1857, Benton Co, Tennessee. After the death of her husband, she lived with some of the children until her death. Survived by daughters, Mrs. Ada Sears, of Waco, TX, Mrs. Lily Everett, & Mrs. Tennie Ashcraft, both of Post City, TX, and Mrs. Martha Ashcraft, of Goodlet, TX; two sons, Jack Alsup of Goodlet, TX., and B. W. Alsup of Plainview, TX. and a brother W. H. Wilson who lives in Tennessee.
