Sgt, Co E, 2nd Cherokee Mounted Riflemen. Enlisted July 12, 1862 at Frozen Rocks, Missouri. Died May 30, 1863 at Goodies Creek with Small Pox.

The 1st (Bryan's) Battalion Cherokee Partisan Rangers was organized September 13, 1862, with five companies; A to E. It was increased to a regiment February 3, 1863, by the addition of five companies which had previously been attached to the 1st Regiment Cherokee Mounted Volunteers, and was designated the 26 Regiment Cherokee Mounted Volunteers (also called Mounted Rifles of Riflemen). Companies A to E of the battalions became Companies H, D, C, K and A, respectively, of the regiment.
