Jack Morgan Adams left this world Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, to be with our Lord. He was 79, born in Trout, La., on Oct. 7, 1934. He attended Louisiana State University and graduated from Louisiana Tech with a degree in geology. After graduation, Jack entered the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He was stationed at Fort Belvoir, Va., Vicksburg, Miss., and served two tours in Greenland. Jack was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

While stationed at Fort Belvoir, he met and married 21 days later, the love of his life and soulmate, Theresa (Terry) Marx, on April 29, 1960, and enjoyed almost 54 years of marriage. He spent most of his professional career as chemical sales engineer where he worked for various oilfield treating chemical companies for over 40 years before retiring. Jack was a heart recipient on Feb. 2, 1993, and his passing was on the 21st anniversary of this gift of life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Terry; his four children, Kathy Bracamontes and her husband, Westley, of Arlington, Texas, Tammy Bunger and her husband, Louis, of Ozona, Texas, Jon Adams and his wife, Erika, of Lantana, Texas, and David Adams and his wife, Janene, of Perth, Australia. He leaves behind eight grandchildren, Jamie LeMaire and her husband, Terry, of Meaux, La., Ashley Rich of Arlington, Texas, G.L. Bunger and his wife, Colbey, of Ozona, Texas, Kristin Bunger of Andrews, Texas, Morgan Adams of Dallas, Texas, Mason Adams of Chicago, Ill., and Haley and Megan Adams of Perth, Australia; five great-grandchildren, Gage and Kaitlyn LeMaire, Bailee Hopson, Lillian and Kate Bunger; his brother, Mike Adams and his wife, Susan, of Shreveport, La., and their three sons, Scott Alford, Austin Adams, Potter Adams and their families.

Pallbearers will be John L. Henderson, Bryan Skehan, Jim Skehan, Wesley Bishop, Ryan Bean, Wesley Bean, Randy Crawford, Ted Spence and Ricky White. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at First United Methodist Church in Ozona and will be officiated by Pastor Jean Reardon. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Kerbow Funeral Home.
