Son of Oliver Howard Elison of Pennsylvania and Lucy Sophia Greenlee of Mason County, West Virginia.

"Calvert Clayton Elison was born near Algernon, west of Mason City, April 28, 1910 and died at 11:10, January 20, 1919, at the age of 8 years, 8 months and 22 days. He spent his entire life at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.H. Elison, attending the Algernon school. He was in the 3rd grade, being exceptionally bright in his studies. Calvert was a model child.
He leaves to mourn his early demise his parents, one sister, Fern, and two brothers, Harold and Veryl, two grandfathers, Major C.S. Elison of Ansley and J.N. Greenlee, one grandmother, Mrs. J.N. Greenlee of Mason City, five aunts and one uncle, besides many other relatives and friends.
He was sick about six weeks, taking first the whooping cough, then influenza followed by pneumonia.
Everything possible being done for his recovery. Death came peacefully as one going to sleep. While we mourn his loss, we know his spirit rests in the arms of his Redeemer.
The funeral was held from the residence January 21, 1919 and his little form was laid to rest in Enon Cemetery 3 miles west of Mason City, services being conducted by W. S. Curtis."
